Jack Hornsby was a wonderful man, love by everybody who knew him. So the day he was taken away from
us completely turned our worlds upside down. My Grandad was diagnosed with cancer in 2005 which
completely devestated me and the rest of my family. On Monday 17th October 2005 my Grandad lost his
battle against this dreadful disease. Throughout his battle he remained strong for everyone else
around him, he was a very proud man who loved his family more then anything else. The day he left us
he left behind my nan Shirley and their 10 children David, Chrissy, Peter, Lee, Jackie, Shirley,
Carol, Tina, Patsy and Rita. Aswell as his 30 Grandchildren and at the time 9 Great grandchildren.
He now has 18 great greatchildren Including my son Alfie who i know would of absolutely adored my
Grandad.
He truely was simply the best, no one could of asked for a better Grandad, We all love and miss him
terribly and would do anything to have him back again.
R.I.P. Grandad we love you.

Grandad..........
God took your hand & we had to part, she eased your pain, but she broke my heart,
She saw you were getting tired, and a cure wasn’t meant to be, so she put her arms around you and
whispered come home with me.
So it’s to your resting place we visit, place your flowers there with care, but no one knows the
hurt I feel when I turn and leave you there,
Alhough a smile can hide tmy tears, a laugh can hide my pain, nothing stops the loathing to have you
back again.
So if god would grant me one last wish, id wish to see you once again, to hear voice and see your
smile , to bring you home once again, because the day you died a piece of me died with you.
Grandad I miss you, my heart is sore, as time goes by I miss your more, Your loving smile, your
gentle face, No one can fill your vacant place,
Sleep well Grandad in god’s eternal light, and know that deep in my heart, your candle burns
forever bright.... I Love You x x x
